It’s spring! Whether you’re PCSing sometime soon or not, it’s the perfect time for some cleaning. Go through your closets, work on home projects, and get your abode in tip-top shape. To help, here are some stores and business that will give you a military discount to make the process a little easier on your budget:
Lowe’s is the perfect place for home projects and your gardening needs. They give 10% off to members of the military with an ID as well as their immediate family members for in-store purchases. Veterans who receive VA benefits with a valid military card also receive the discount.
2. Home Depot
Home Depot, like Lowe’s, has a lot of what you will need to complete your spring cleaning. They also offer 10% off to members of the military with an ID and their immediate families, as well as retired and injured veterans. The discount is for in-store purchases.
Overstock.com offers a free Club O Gold membership (worth $19.95) to active military and veterans. The membership can save you an average of $55 per year.
4. Pottery Barn
Whether you want to redo your bedding or find some new furniture and decor for your living room, Pottery Barn offers a 15% military discount with military ID. The discount is not valid on merchandise with special pricing or clearance items ending in $.97 or $.99.
5. Yankee Candle
What better way to fill your home with spring scents than a new Yankee Candle? This store offers a 10% military discounts both in stores and online for active and retired military members and their immediate families. Show your ID in the store or email or fax a copy of your order confirmation.
If you are looking for more decor and craft items, Michaels is a great place to shop. They will give you 15% off with a valid military ID. Available in-store only.
Looking for fabric to make some new curtains or pillowcases? Joann’s is the right store for that. They offer a 10% military discount that includes regular, sale, and clearance items.
If you need to put things in storage, SmartBox can be a good option. They deliver a box to your home for you to fill, store, and eventually move if need be. They offer $20 off your order for active duty military members.
Kirkland’s variety of home decor products such as art and wall hangings, rugs, and items for the kitchen makes it the perfect place to shop when trying to refresh your home. They offer a 10% military discount to active duty and retired military that can be combined with other promotions and discounts. Show your ID at the store.
From cleaning supplies to new playground equipment for your backyard, Costco is the place to shop. They have an exclusive military offer worth $55 in savings when you sign up for a membership. This offer is available for all members of the Armed Forces, veterans, and their families.
11. Sam’s Club
Sam’s Club is another great place to look for items for the home and to get organized. They offer either a $15 or a $25 e-gift card for active duty and former military and their spouses when you sign up for a membership. The amount of the gift card depends on the type of membership you sign up for.
Make sure to look at the local businesses in your area. Carpet cleaners, house cleaners, and junk removal services could offer a military discount for you to use while working on your home and getting your spring cleaning done.
