Jennifer Pilcher, Founder and President of MilitaryOneClick

Jennifer Pilcher
Founder & President

Jen is a born and raised Jersey girl, minus the accent. Jen earned her BS from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and her MA in Speech-Language Pathology from The College of New Jersey. She has been an active duty Navy spouse for over 13 years and has put her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist on hold to raise their children, Katie, 9 and Griffin, 6.

When not chasing their crazy English bulldog or running the kids from place-to- place, Jen is pursuing her passion for writing children’s books and advocating for Military Families. Her travels as a military spouse have taken her around the world – including skiing down Mt Etna, an active volcano in Sicily, Italy.

Prior to launching MilitaryOneClick, Jen was a freelance writer for Military Spouse magazine, co–founder of the USNA Military MOPS program and former Manager of Military strategy at Cafemom, a social media company. Her goal is to connect our military families and our civilian families to resources and opportunities that can make a difference.

She went on to get her masters from University of Maryland University College with a concentration in Management Information Systems. She had been working for the Federal Aviation Administration for 4 years as a contractor and upon receiving her masters she became a Federal employee and continued working there for another 9 plus years. Her most recent job was being Program Manager for a $10 million dollar program which involved OSHA Fire Life Safety upgrades for over 420 Air Traffic Control Towers across the country. Jeanne is now a full time suburban driving mom to three children, Molly, 13, Paul, 11 and Carly, 6. Though she was once an ultimate frisbee champion, she now enjoys playing tennis, cooking, reading and of course, photography.

Her father has been sick for over 7 years, but whenever he sees a person in uniform it always gets his attention and a smile! Through years as a civilian contractor and a volunteer in various organizations, she saw an opportunity to connect with both the military and the community through MilitaryOneClick.

Sophie
The Mascot

Sophie is a 3 year old English bulldog who was rescued from a puppy mill farm in Pennsylvania. She was then fostered by the amazing families and people who run Mid-Atlantic Bulldog rescue.

Sophie joined our family as a scared little puppy, however, she is now queen of the house. She loves everyone and since she doesn’t have a tail to wag, she will lick you to death to show you how much! Sophie is a funny dog and she became the MilitaryOneClick mascot “by accident” after posting a few photos and captions of Sophie went viral on our MilitaryOneClick Facebook page. Sophie brings smiles to our MilitaryOneClick friends around the world and she loves to hear from you!
