AMAZING Care Package Ideas! Wait until you see these photos!

Thanks for making me feel like a total underachiever, Rose ;)!  These care packages are phenomenal!  Thank you for sharing. ~ Danya

Saving these care package ideas for the next deployment!

Every week my children and I send a care package to my husband.  We have fun putting things together by theme.  I have found some fun and creative ways to bring my husband and his fellow Soldiers some fun.Rose Tea Party

  • Have a theme. Each package has some kind of a theme. Can’t think of one? Check out the Holiday Insights website, for a list of “Bizarre, Wacky and Unique Holidays.” For example, did you know that January is National Hot Tea Month (see attached)?
  • Construction paper fits perfectly across the flaps of the priority-mailing box!
  •  The hot glue gun is great for gluing things on the inside flaps. Just be sure you have enough room.

Rose Fishing Care Package

  • You don’t have to spend a lot to make it great. The “Gone Fishing” package has some photos of my husband with his fish and I used paper to make origami figures to include a boat and some fish. I filled it with Gold Fish crackers, Swedish fish and gummy worms.
  • Silly can be fun. My husband loved the “have a ball” package. On the flaps I put all his favorite sports teamsand inside were mini balls and games.

Rose Ball Care Package

The important thing is to have fun and let your loved one knows you care.  It is a great way for the entire family to have fun during the long deployment.  We have fun brainstorming the next care package.  My children know they can sneak letters to dad in the packages any time during the week and that I won’t read them.  It is a great way for us all to stay connected.
