Is 180 days enough time?
It depends on what you’re talking about. You can train for a 5K in 180 days or less. You can take dance lessons with your spouse and tango at your kid’s wedding in 180 days. You can break your leg and it can heal in 180 days.
DoD officials are considering a change to Military OneSource for newly minted veterans: a full year of access rather than the current 180 days. While the recommendation to extend service has been made to the DoD, they would need to take the suggestion to Congress in order to enact the changes.
Military OneSource offers services to military members and their families including non-medical counseling, tax preparation software, health and wellness coaching, employment information, among others. These resources can be accessed by phone or computer.
