Miss Taco Tuesday? Want more fresh fruits and veggies? Love that one meal to pieces? Now’s your time to let your preferences be known. The DoD and Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) want to hear from OCONUS DoDEA students and their parents when it comes to lunchtime.
“The Exchange wants to provide Warfighters’ children with the options kids crave at the nutritional standards parents demand,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, Exchange senior enlisted advisor in a press release. “We want families to tell us how we’re doing as far as meeting that goal so we can continue to improve lunchtime at DoDEA schools.”
Starting today and lasting through February 16, students enrolled in overseas DoDEA schools and their parents are encouraged to visit https://schoolmealprogram.typeform.com/to/VZPPjm, a survey jointly constructed by both entities. The survey is 30 questions long and can be completed by all students (younger children may need assistance from an adult) and parents.
AAFES supports the lunch programs of 74 DoDEA schools on Air Force and Army installations and 1 Marine base through the proceeds from Exchange sales. More than 16,500 meals are served daily, according to AAFES’ statistics.
