NEW YORK, NY – Created in 2016 as a way to bring military spouses together for networking, learning and fun, the MilitaryOneClick “MilSpouseFest” kicks off its third year on Jan. 23 in San Diego, CA. MilitaryOneClick and MilSpouseFest events are operated by Lafayette Media Group.
Based on the overwhelmingly positive response from attendees, the number of events being held in 2018 will increase from seven to 14. “We’re thrilled with the success in 2017 and are excited to bring the event to military spouses in new locations including Camp Pendleton, Fort Hood, Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Norfolk and Fort Bragg,” said Zach Iscol, CEO of Lafayette Media Group.
This year’s theme – Inspire Change – is all about helping military families thrive in an environment of change. Attendees will learn how to build a strong network and discuss ways to give and get support from their community.
As the presenting sponsor, USAA has helped to build this annual event and make it educational and fun for participants. “Military spouses are the foundation of the family while the servicemember is away from the home,” said John Bird, Vice Admiral (retired) and Senior Vice President of Military Affairs at USAA. “However, with that role comes many challenges and great responsibility, so we want to make sure they are connected to the right resources to build a great support system. MilSpouseFest makes that happen.”
